Long Embrace by dsnider Long Embrace by dsnider
So I just wonder how many years that tree root has been hugging that granite bolder??

Allen my brother...making money with a camera would truly be a dream come true. Cali has been amazing to me already and it will just get better I am hoping man. Thank you so so much. Love you brother. Leasha saved the day on this one for me. Helped me with the noise then taught me a few tricks about sharpening.

so, now that you have my glowing praise, here's what i would have done with the shot...

take it for what it is (just the opinion of some guy) but i would have grabbed another shot above this frame and stitched them together. you know how i feel about the sky and the clouds, so that probably isn't much of a surprise.

it's still my all-time favourite shot of this valley (and that includes stuff from mr adams) but constructive criticism is sometimes helpful...

Constructive criticism is always welcomed and appreciated from me bro! That woulda been a great idea and I have no idea why I didnt think of it with all of the vertical pano's Leasha was shooting there that weekend. Still am so so very honored you like this piece so much man. Means the world to me! :manhug:

Alright...I ahve to admit this is a view of this particular valley that I haven't seen before. I bow to your superior compositional skills, Dennis :worship: Haven't even seen a shot like this one from the pros :camera:

Amazing black and white conversion and love, love, LOVE that composition! :iconwoohooplz:

John your comment means the WORLD to me. My entire plan in all of these well known and photographed locals is to simply bring my style to them. Foreground is king when I am sizing up a shot and heck...saw that awesome root system and that view. Put 2 and 2 together as they say and this is what I got. Sooooo honored by your words!!!
